EZMO Apple Peeler, Pear Peeler with 8 Wedges Apple Slicer and Corer, Stainless Steel Blades
I picked up the EZMO apple peeler off a Facebook group recommendation when I decided to try an apple peel gut reset program. It involved eating the peels of 60 apples over the course of 20 days and I did not want to peel all those apples by hand.
EZMO Apple Peeler Highlights
- Peel is thinner, hardly any apple meat came off. This was excellent, since, in my case I was really look to just eat the skin of the apple. Motorized peelers take a lot of fruit off with the skin.
- The suction cups held the peeler in place wonderfully. You just need to make sure you put it on a surface where the suction works properly.
- It quickly peeled the apple. I was doing 4 – 6 at a time in the mornings and could get it done in about 3 to 4 minutes once I got the hang of it. I tried several apple varieties and it handled them just fine. I was amazed at how the swing of the blade had the intelligence to cut the apple just right.
- It comes with a slicer and corer. Once I had my peels, I used it to slice and core apples for the kids and to freeze to make pies or applesauce later.
- They advertise a 1-year free return if you run into any issues. Right now, I am loving this thing and don’t have a plan to return it. But, it is nice to know if something does go wrong.
EZMO Apple Peeler Video
I was going to post my own video but honestly, the YouTube video below does the apple peeler justice. It works just as well as what you’re seeing in the video. I was absolutely amazed at how that little blade knew how to work around the apple to just peel the skin. You may have to clear some skin from the blade after you are done. But other than that it worked really well.
Ezmo Apple Peeler Pear Peeler Cons
I don’t have anything too bad to say so far about this apple peeler cutter. I will try and list a couple of items.
- The instructions that come with the product are not extremely clear and the illustrations are a little vague. When you start to peel the apple make sure you have rotated the blade back underneath the holder. If you were looking at the peeler from behind the crank you would want the blade at the 6 o’clock position.
- A peel will get stuck in the stainless steel blade from time to time. When that happens it may not catch on the skin and stop peeling. You will have to dig the peel out and then continue.
The reviews on Amazon that I read were all pretty good. No pans or 1 or 2-star reviews. You can use the buttons in this post to check the current price on Amazon. I tend to like the convenience of Amazon over searching for the lowest price.
